How to book meeting rooms in Library facilities

  • Book by phone or in person at the branch to receive same-day confirmation 
    • Contact details and hours of operations can be found on the details block for each room, below
  • Online room reservations are not currently available for meeting rooms. 

NOTE: Harvey Smith and Osborne Libraries do not have spaces to rent. Contact 311 to book in the adjacent Leisure Centres.

The equipment available varies - please talk to staff about your needs before booking. Activities are limited to the rented space only and must not impact other library users (e.g. sound, scents). Libraries that offer meeting rooms for rent.

  • You may request to book rooms up to 3 months in advance.
  • Non-profit organizations must provide proof of status to receive the reduced non-profit rate such as a business number, charitable number, an annual report or other proof.
  • Some non-profit organizations may be eligible for their event's rental fee to be waived, to a maximum of 4 bookings per branch, per calendar year if they meet criteria.
  • Payment is required before using the room. You may pay in advance or on arrival on the day. The library may deny future bookings when there have been no-shows, repeated late cancellations, or where payment was not received.
    • To cancel:
    • Please phone or visit the library if needing to cancel. Or, contact us online through Ask Us. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may be denied future bookings.
