Winnipeg, MB – At 12:17 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, side-by-side residence in the 1000 block of Main Street.
When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Firefighters initially launched a fire attack from the exterior, using an aerial ladder and handlines to apply water to the fire.
Once the flames were knocked down, they transitioned to an interior fire attack to completely extinguish the fire. The fire was declared under control at 1:24 a.m.
Crews completed a search of the residence, and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The structure was previously damaged by a fire on July 4, 2025.
Both fires remain under investigation.
