Winnipeg, MB – The Winnipeg Public Library is pleased to announce that Callen Maude has been selected as the next Maker-in-Residence at the Library.
Callen Maude (she/they) is a Winnipeg-based multimedia visual artist and art facilitator. Her work explores different mediums and processes and spans across textile, illustration, and sculptural works. Sustainability and inclusivity are two integral threads in her work.
“Creativity is a way of life, a means of exploring oneself and our community. I look forward to building community through textiles, pencil, and paint,” said Maude.
The Maker-in-Residence program operates out of the ideaMILL at Millennium Library. Callen Maude’s term will run from July 8 to October 11, 2025. Throughout the program, the maker will offer weekly drop-in studio time to invite visitors into the creative process with activities to learn new skills. The maker will also offer workshops at library branches.
