Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Manitoba Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:31 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a vacant, boarded up, two-storey converted residential dwelling in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue.

When crews arrived on scene, smoke was coming from the structure. They launched an offensive fire attack, using hose lines to put the flames out. The fire was under control at 6:44 a.m.

There were no injuries were reported.

The house had previously been damaged by fires on March 27, 2024, April 15, 2024 and May 17, 2024. Damage estimates are not available at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
