Released: August 25, 2017 at 1:30 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – The community recycling depot located on Panet Road at Mission Street will be temporarily closed for construction on the Panet 4R Winnipeg Depot.

The Panet Road community recycling depot will be closed from 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30 to Wednesday, September 20 at 6:00 p.m.

Community recycling depots are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and accept all the same recyclable materials that can be put in the curbside blue cart program.

Residents can drop off their recyclables at any of the other community recycling centres, located at:

  • Garden City Shopping Centre, along Kingsbury Avenue
  • St. James Civic Centre, 2055 Ness Avenue at Guildford Street
  • Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre, 430 Langside Street
  • Pan Am Pool, Poseidon Bay at Taylor Avenue
  • 1539 Waverley Street, at Chevrier Boulevard

Residents can also drop off recyclables at the Brady 4R Winnipeg Deport (1777 Brady Road) or the Pacific 4R Winnipeg Depot (1120 Pacific Avenue), during operating hours.

4R Winnipeg Depots are larger and accept more materials than the community recycling depots. The Panet 4R Winnipeg Depot will replace the current community recycling depot and is expected to open in late 2017.
