Want to save money, avoid parking, or take a break from driving? Transit can be an affordable, convenient option for many of your trips.

Why try Transit?

Winnipeg Transit can make some trips easier. You don’t have to take Transit for every trip. Even using it once in a while can save you money and help take the stress out of getting around.

Save money: Gas, parking, insurance, and vehicle maintenance all add up fast, even on short trips. Transit is an affordable option to get you to work, school, errands, appointments, and events.

Skip the stress of parking: When you’re going to a concert, game, or event, parking can be difficult to find, and it’s not always cheap. Instead of circling to find a spot, Transit is a great option to get to popular destinations like Canada Life Centre, Princess Auto Stadium, and The Forks.

Get your to-dos done: When you take Transit, you don’t have to focus on the road. That means you can use that time in other ways. You can now use this time to check your messages, read, plan your day, or just relax for a few minutes.

Planning a trip? Start here

We have many tools to help you use Transit, and we’ve redesigned our website to make those tools easier to find.

When planning your trip, Navigo is a good place to start. Just enter where you’re going and when, and Navigo will do the planning for you. It will also show you live bus locations and information about stops and what routes go where. You can also download the Winnipeg Transit app to plan your trip from a mobile device.

If you don’t live near a frequent line, Park & Ride or Bike & Ride might be good options to help get you where you’re going.

Need more help? Our travel training team can help you learn and share tips to make your trip easier. We offer weekly Zoom sessions to help you navigate the network and learn about On-Request, Winnipeg Transit Plus, and more. Registration is required.
