TD Summer Reading: The club that keeps kids reading all summer long

Children’s reading programs Winnipeg

Are you looking for free and fun children’s summer programs? Wanting to prevent summer learning loss? Have them join the TD Summer Reading Club through the Winnipeg Public Library until September 5.

TD Summer Reading Club is back!

The TD Summer Reading Club keeps children reading, learning, and having fun all summer long.

Visit any Winnipeg Public Library branch to receive your free bilingual reading kit for children up to 12 years old. The kit includes an activity notebook, stickers, and a reading tracker to win prizes. Pre-readers can also join the club and receive their bilingual reading kit designed for caregivers.

Children receive ballots for time spent reading or being read to. Enter ballots at any branch for a chance to win great prizes, including books, swim passes, or tickets to a Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball game.

Registration now open for July programs

There is a huge variety of free programs this summer at the library for children and teens. Information is available in the online calendar, as well as the What's On for Children, Families, and Teens. Registration for August programs begins July 6.

Summer programs run from now until September 5.

Teen Reading Challenge

We also have something for teens this summer. Teens in Grades 7-12 can visit any branch to pick up their bilingual Teen Summer Challenge Card. For each challenge completed, they will receive a ballot to enter a prize draw.
