Fitting in a workout or going for a swim at one of our facilities will be free on June 6. That’s because we're marking National Health and Fitness Day by offering free access to our pools and recreation facilities during regular operating hours.

Celebrated on the first Saturday in June, National Health and Fitness Day provides an opportunity to embrace healthy physical activity. It is included in the National Health and Fitness Act which became law at the end of 2014.

We have several pools and recreation facilities available for residents to visit and there is no need to pre-register. Public entry requirements and capacity restrictions will still apply.

Celebrate with us all week long!

In addition to free admission on June 6, we have a whole week full of celebrations planned. Join us and get active!

Starting May 31, pick up a Health and Fitness Bingo card from any of our pools or recreation facilities. Complete your card and hand it in by June 14 for your chance to win a prize.

From May 31 to June 6, participants attending an active living drop-in class can bring a friend for free! Visit winnipeg.ca/dropinfitness to view current drop-in classes and pre-register. Drop-ins will also be accepted,  space permitting. Weight room classes are not included.

Free activities will be offered throughout the week at select facilities:

Some of the free activities include Zumba Aqua, a guided birdwatching walk, Muscle Boot Camp, and more! Visit individual facility webpages for  more information. Pre-register online or drop in, space permitting.

Free and low-cost opportunities throughout the year

On top of free access for National Health and Fitness Day, we also offer free swim times at all pools. There are also Loonie/Toonie swim times for even more affordable fun and fitness options.  Hours are subject to change.
