Driving safely around emergency crews

If you approach an emergency scene while driving or walking in Winnipeg, please avoid the area to allow crews to safely complete their work on scene. Never drive over hose lines. Hose lines may be charged with water, and driving over them can seriously injure a firefighter, cause damage, or delay firefighters extinguishing a fire. Driving over a hose line is a ticket-able offense under the Highway Traffic Act.

Vacant Buildings

Call 9-1-1 if you see someone actively entering a vacant building or removing boards from a building’s windows or doors.

If you notice boarded windows or doors that have been breached but you do not see someone actively entering or trying to enter the building, report the incident to 311 by phone or online.
