Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Alfred Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:55 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a two-storey duplex in the 500 block of Alfred Avenue.

Smoke was coming from the house when crews arrived to the scene. They entered the structure, located the fire, and launched a fire attack. It was declared under control at 11:23 a.m.

Firefighters completed a search of the structure and there were no occupants inside. No injuries were reported.

Damage estimates are not available at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
