Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Mulvey Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 10:51 p.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a vacant two-storey residential structure in the 700 block of Mulvey Avenue.

Smoke was coming from the structure when firefighters arrived at the scene. They launched an offensive fire attack and used handlines to apply water to the fire. It was declared under control at 12:08 a.m.

Crews completed a search of the building and there were no occupants inside.

One firefighter sustained an injury at the scene, and was assessed by paramedics, but did not require transport to the hospital.

Damage estimates are not available at this time. The fire is under investigation.
