Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Stella Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 1:21 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire in a single-storey vacant, boarded up house in the 500 block of Stella Avenue.

Upon arrival to the scene, crews found smoke coming from the structure. Firefighters went inside and launched an offensive fire attack. The fire was declared under control at 1:57 p.m.

A search of the structure was completed and there were no occupants found. No injuries were reported.

The structure suffered significant damage as a result of the fire. Damage estimates are not available.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
