Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Alexander Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a single-storey home in the 500 block of Alexander Avenue.

Upon arrival to the scene, crews saw smoke from the structure and declared it a working fire. They launched an offensive fire attack, using handlines to put the fire out. It was declared under control at 10:10 a.m.

Firefighters completed a search of the structure, and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

Damage estimates are not available at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
