Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Dufferin Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 11:15 a.m. on Friday, July 26, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of a fire at an unoccupied one-and-a-half-storey house in the 600 block of Dufferin Avenue.

When crews arrived on scene, smoke was coming from the structure. Firefighters launched a defensive fire attack, fighting the fire from outside. Once conditions improved, they moved inside to finish putting the fire out. It was declared under control at 11:48 a.m.

Crews conducted a search of the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

Damage estimates are not available at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
