Winnipeg, MB – At 4:32 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a one-and-a-half-storey house in the 200 block of McKay Avenue.
When they arrived on scene, crews saw smoke coming from the structure. They entered the house and launched a fire attack, quickly putting it out. The fire was declared under control at 4:52 p.m.
Residents safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. Firefighters completed a search of the home and rescued one cat. No injuries were reported.
Damage estimates are not available at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
