Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Logan Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 5:51 p.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a single-storey commercial / industrial structure in the 800 block of Logan Avenue.

When crews arrived to the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure. Due to dangerous fire conditions, crews were unable to enter the building. They launched a defensive fire attack, using handlines and aerial ladder trucks to apply water to the fire.

The structure has sustained significant damage and is considered a complete loss. An emergency demolition has been ordered.

No injuries have been reported. The fire is under investigation.
