Winnipeg, MB – At 6:38 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of fire in a single-storey industrial building in the 1400 block of Dublin Avenue.
Upon arrival to the scene, crews found smoke coming from the building. They launched an interior fire attack, and quickly extinguished the flames. The fire was declared under control at 7:06 p.m.
All occupants of the building self-evacuated before WFPS crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was accidental, caused by a mechanical failure. Damage estimates are not available.
