Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Home Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 9:03 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to a well-involved fire involving a one-and-a-half storey house in the 700 block of Home Street.

Winnipeg Police Service members working in the area could smell smoke in the air and discovered the fire. They notified fire crews and worked to alert potential occupants in the house.

When WFPS arrived on scene, they launched an interior fire attack. The fire was declared under control at 9:42 p.m.

Firefighters completed a search of the house and no occupants were located. There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
