Winnipeg, MB – At 3:40 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-story townhouse in the 1600 block of Burrows Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene, they found smoke coming from the home. They entered and fought the fire from inside. The fire was declared under control at 4:04 p.m.
All occupants in the house safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
Damage was contained to the unit where the fire started. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
