Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Pembina Highway

Winnipeg, MB – At 2:47 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a report of a fire in a single-storey commercial building in the 1200 block of Pembina Highway. The 9-1-1 call was made by a City of Winnipeg employee working in the area.

When crews arrived on scene, they found smoke coming from the building. They launched an interior fire attack, declaring the fire under control at 3:19 a.m.

There were no occupants in the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and damage estimates are not available at this time.
