Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Flora Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 12:01 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, two-storey house in the 500 block of Flora Avenue.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the house. They attacked the fire from the exterior of the house. Once conditions improved they transitioned to an interior fire attack. The fire was declared under control at 1:49 p.m. 

Crews searched the house and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
