Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire Langside Street

Released: November 1, 2023 at 6:23 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB – At 3:37 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey house in the 500 block of Langside Street.

When crews arrived to the scene, they found heavy smoke coming from the house. Crews fought the fire from inside the house, declaring the fire under control at 4:32 p.m.

All occupants of the house self-evacuated. One individual was assessed by on-scene paramedics and transported to hospital in unstable condition. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
