Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a structure fire in a vacant house on William Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 7:08 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a vacant house in the 900 block of William Avenue.

At the scene, crews saw smoke and flames coming from the house. Firefighters attacked the fire from the outside until it was safe to enter the house to continue extinguishing the fire. Firefighters searched the house and no occupants were located.

Firefighters declared the fire under control at 8:04 a.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available.
