Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to a fire on Balmoral Street

Winnipeg, MB – At 12:42 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant, three-storey apartment building in the 500 block of Balmoral Street.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found smoke coming from the building. They entered the structure and fought the fire from inside, declaring it under control at 1:10 p.m. 

Firefighters completed a search of the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available at this time. The building was previously damaged by fire.
