Snowshoe Sundays start January 6 at Living Prairie Museum

Released: January 2, 2019 at 10:29 a.m.
First and last Sunday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Starting this Sunday, January 6, the Living Prairie Museum will be open for Snowshoe Sundays on the first and last Sunday of Janurary and February, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., snowpack permitting.

This is a great opportunity for members of the public to explore the prairie preserve in winter. Participants can visit the interpretive centre to learn all about the animals and plants that call the prairie home, and warm up by the fire.

Snowshoe rentals are free and no experience is necessary. Snowshoes are loaned out on a first come, first served basis, and winter footwear is required.

Due to the limited number of snowshoes, the Living Prairie Museum cannot accommodate drop-in daycares, field trips, or other large groups. To book a snowshoe program for a group, or for more information, please call 204-832-0167.

Follow the Living Prairie Museum on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more event postings.
