All lanes on McPhillips Street between Logan Avenue and Jarvis Avenue to be reopened to traffic this Sunday

Released: November 24, 2018 at 11 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB – All lanes in either direction on McPhillips Street between Logan Avenue and Jarvis Avenue will be reopened to traffic on Sunday, November 25. The west sidewalk will remain closed to pedestrians until a handrail is installed.

To accommodate the handrail installation on the west sidewalk, there will be intermittent southbound curb lane closures; however, all four lanes will remain open to traffic during the morning rush hour period. Pedestrians can use the east sidewalk in the meantime.

Work undertaken to date includes lowering the road surface through the underpass for improved truck clearance and reconstruction of the road. In spring 2019, work on the concrete median and final landscaping will be completed.
