Winnipeg, MB – At 6:23 p.m. on November 8, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded a fire in a two and a half-storey structure in the 200 block of Yale Avenue. Upon arrival, crews found a working fire on the upper floor and attic. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was extinguished.
All occupants had self-evacuated prior to crews’ arrival. Crews were able locate and bring the family’s cat to safety. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
