Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update 2: Dawson Road Fire

Winnipeg, MB – As of 2:30 this afternoon, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews have wrapped up their work at the scene of the Dawson Road Fire.

Motorists can expect Dawson Road to reopen in time for the afternoon rush hour.

The cause of this fire remains under investigation. Due to the significant damage of the structure, investigators will rely on witness accounts in addition to the forensic information available once they are able to access the scene. This can take considerable time. As well, no damage estimates are available at this time.
