Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service Update: McLaughlin Avenue Fire

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire in a one and half-storey home in the 100 block of McLaughlin Avenue. Upon arrival, crews found extensive smoke throughout the residence with fire extending between the attic and the upper floor. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was extinguished.

All occupants had self-evacuated prior to crews’ arrival. Following medical assessments on scene, two individuals were transported to hospital in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
