Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service update: Plessis Rd. & Dawson Rd. South - Motor Vehicle Collision

Winnipeg, MB – At 1:57 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a single vehicle rollover near the intersection of Plessis Road and Dawson Road South.

In total, five occupants of the vehicle were injured and required transport to hospital. The severity of injuries varied. Two patients were transported in critical condition – one via Stars Air Ambulance and one by ambulance. Another two patients were taken to hospital via ambulance in unstable condition and the remaining patient was transported in stable condition.

In addition to tending to the injured occupants, WFPS crews were required to extinguish a fire involving the damaged vehicle.

The cause of the rollover will be investigated by Winnipeg Police Service.
