Winnipeg, MB – The newly renovated Pembina Trail Library, located at 2724 Pembina Hwy, reopened today. Renovations include an upgraded entrance, universally accessible washrooms, and improved shelving and collections layout.

“Libraries are places that bring communities together,” said Councillor Mike Pagtakhan, Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Protection, Community Services and Parks. “The Pembina Trail Library is now an accessible, welcoming, and inspiring place that will offer important resources and services for many years to come.”

“We are so pleased to be opening the doors of Pembina Trail Library today,” said Councillor Janice Lukes, South Winnipeg - St. Norbert Ward. “These upgrades and improved spaces will deliver an enhanced library experience for all visitors.”

Improvements also included new paint, flooring, furniture, service desks and a new 24/7 location for the book return. The City’s investment in the renovation was $294,245.
