Winnipeg, MB – At 2:51 a.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews responded to a report of a fire involving semi-trailers in the 900 block of McLeod Avenue. A second alarm was declared in order to increase the number of apparatus and WFPS crew members on the scene, due to one of the trailers’ proximity to a warehouse
An offensive attack to bring the fire under control was launched by crews while a simultaneous search of the warehouse was completed in order to determine if the fire had extended to the structure and also to identify if any occupants were on site. The fire was declared under control at 3:21 a.m. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available at this time.
