Canada Day weekend road closures

Winnipeg, MB - The following road closures will be in effect this weekend for Canada Day celebrations.

Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM) Summer Celebration
On Friday, June 29, from 1:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Ellen Street between Bannatyne Avenue and McDermot Avenue, and Bannatyne Avenue between Ellen Street and Dagmar Street will be closed to traffic.

Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre AGM and Community Celebration
On Friday, June 29, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. King Street from Dufferin Avenue to Jarvis Avenue will be closed to traffic.

Fast & Furious Feast
On Friday, June 29, from 9 a.m. to midnight, Albert Street from Bannatyne Avenue to Notre Dame Avenue will be closed to traffic. The closure does not include the intersection of McDermot Avenue at Albert Street.

Osborne Village Street Festival
Starting on Saturday, June 30 at 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. on Monday, July 2, Osborne Street from River Avenue to McMillan Avenue will be closed to traffic for the Osborne Village Street Festival.

Transit re-route and schedule information for the Canada Day weekend is available at winnipegtransit.com or by contacting 311.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow additional travel time to get to their destinations, use alternate routes, and download and use the Waze app for the fastest route every day.
