Public invited to provide feedback on potential route options for the Eastern Rapid Transit Corrido

Winnipeg, MB The City of Winnipeg is inviting residents to review and provide feedback on potential route options for the Eastern Rapid Transit Corridor at a series of public open houses from Monday, June 18 to Thursday, June 21, 2018.

Members of the Eastern Corridor Study project team will be on hand to answer questions and gather input at the following in-person engagement opportunities:

Date: Monday, June 18
Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Pantages Playhouse, 180 Market Ave.

Date: Tuesday, June 19
Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Canad Inns Club Regent Casino Hotel Event Centre, 1415 Regent Ave. W.

Date: Wednesday, June 20
Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Notre Dame Recreational Centre, 271 Avenue de la Cathedrale
(French language services provided)

Date: Thursday, June 21
Time: 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. & 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Location: Mosaic Event Centre, 1006 Nairn Ave.

Winnipeggers are also welcome to visit the website and provide feedback on the potential route options using the online mapping tool: winnipeg.ca/easterncorridor.

The Eastern Corridor Study will identify the most suitable route for rapid transit between downtown and eastern Winnipeg - a route that provides greater convenience, speed, reliability, transportation network improvements, and encourages development along the corridor that is sensitive to existing neighbourhoods. Potential route options were developed following background research and analysis, public engagement, and criteria development in the first two phases of the project.
