Public invited to provide input on the redevelopment of two parks in the Windsor Park neighbourhood

Released: April 12, 2018 at 11:45 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeggers are invited to attend a public workshop on April 24 to provide feedback on redeveloping two parks in the Windsor Park neighbourhood: Agate Park and Durham Park.

Agate Park (33 Argonne Bay) and Durham Park (57 Duluth Bay) have some of the most aged play equipment in the Windsor Park area and are in need of replacement. There is up to $210,000 to redevelop these two parks through the Parks and Recreation Enhancement Program. To add to the diverse recreational needs of users, the City of Winnipeg is working with stakeholders and residents to determine the best way to invest in the future of these two neighbourhood parks.

The City wants to hear from the public to help determine future park enhancements at these two sites. The public can provide input through an online survey, or through an in-person workshop. The online survey will be open until May 1, 2018. The in-person public workshop will be held:

Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018
Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Location: Windsor Park Library, community room, 1195 Archibald St.
Format: Brief presentation at 6 p.m., followed by table discussions

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP. For more information, please visit winnipeg.ca/WindsorParkparks.
