All lanes on northbound McPhillips Street closed at Leila Avenue for sinkhole repairs

Winnipeg, MB – All lanes on northbound McPhillips Street at Leila Avenue have been completely closed to vehicular traffic effective immediately until repairs related to a sinkhole are completed.

While repairs are underway, vehicles travelling along northbound McPhillips Street must turn either east or west onto Leila Avenue.

The curb and centre lanes on Westbound Leila Avenue are also closed, while the median lane remains open.

The pedestrian crosswalk on the north side of the McPhillips Street and Leila Avenue intersection will also remain closed while repairs are being completed.

Crews are on site completing the repairs and expect to reopen the curb and centre lanes on westbound Leila Avenue the afternoon of Friday, March 23. All lanes on northbound McPhillips Street are expected to reopen on Monday, March 26.

Motorists should allow additional travel time to get to their destinations, and use alternate routes.
