Winnipeg, MB - City Hall will get spruced up this Sunday with the arrival of this year's Christmas tree. The 40-foot Colorado spruce will be donated by East Kildonan homeowners Gail and Gerald Bordian.
“We moved here in 1989 and the tree was about 10 feet tall at that time. My son would climb up on a ladder to decorate it with Christmas lights,” said homeowner Gail Bordian. “Over the years it’s grown too big so we decided to donate it to City Hall for their Christmas tree.”
“This spruce has a beautiful, dark green colour and cylindrical form which make it a great choice to be the centerpiece of City Hall’s holiday display this year,” said Martha Barwinsky, city forester.
