Thanksgiving operating hours for City of Winnipeg facilities and services

Winnipeg, MB - All civic offices are closed on Monday, October 10, 2016.

Recycling/Garbage Collection

Recycling, garbage and yard waste will be collected as normally scheduled on the Thanksgiving Day holiday for those with Monday as their collection day.

To find your 2016 recycling, garbage and yard waste collection days, and for more information on the Brady Road Resource Management Facility and Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot:

Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill) hours of operation (commercial customers only)

Saturday, October 8 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 9 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, October 10 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot is open every day from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (residential customers only)

Winnipeg Transit

On Monday, October 10, Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres will be closed on Monday, October 10.

Regular hours of operation for Leisure Centres are in effect for Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.

Swimming Pools

All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools will be closed on Monday, October 10 with the exception of the Pan Am Pool and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex.

On Monday, October 10, the Pan Am Pool will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Libraries

All Winnipeg Public Libraries will be closed on Monday, October 10.

Online services, including downloadable eBooks, streaming movies and music, catalogue searching, and holds/renewals - are available online anytime at Winnipeg Public Library.

Animal Services Agency

The Animal Services Agency will be closed on Monday, October 10.

Cemeteries

Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open for visitation from dawn until 9:00 p.m. over the Thanksgiving weekend, including Monday, October 10.

Cemetery offices will be closed on Monday, October 10.

Hours of operation for the Winnipeg Parking Authority during the Thanksgiving holiday are as follows:
