Winnipeg, MB - Today, Mayor Bowman is traveling to Edmonton, Alberta to attend and participate in Cities Reducing Poverty: When Mayors Lead, a national event attracting mayors from across Canada.
From April 5-7, mayors will meet in Edmonton to share their respective visions, plans and on-the-ground work to reduce poverty. Joining them will be representatives from all levels of government, sector leaders and practitioners from across Canada.

“I’m very excited to be at this gathering of mayors where we can move the conversation forward toward reducing poverty in our cities,” said Mayor Bowman. “Sharing experiences between mayors on what works and what doesn’t in their cities is an important part of putting all of us on a path toward ultimately ending poverty and homelessness.”
