Good Friday and Easter weekend operating hours for City of Winnipeg facilities and services

Winnipeg, MB - All civic offices are closed on Friday, March 25 (Good Friday) and Monday, March 28 (Easter Monday).

Recycling/Garbage Collection

Recycling and garbage will be collected as normally scheduled on the Good Friday and Easter Monday holidays for those with Friday and Monday as their collection day.

Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill) hours of operation

Friday, March 255:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 269:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 279:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday, March 285:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot is open every day from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Winnipeg Transit

On Friday, March 25 (Good Friday), Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule. On Monday, March 28 (Easter Monday), Winnipeg Transit will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres are closed on Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28. Regular hours of operation are in effect for Saturday, March 26 and Sunday, March 27.

Swimming Pools

All City of Winnipeg swimming pools will be closed on Friday, March 25, except the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, which will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Regular hours of operation are in effect for all pools on Saturday, March 26.

Pools will be open on Sunday, March 27 as scheduled - but will close at 4:00 p.m.

All pools are closed on Monday, March 28, except the Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex, which will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Pan Am Pool, which will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Libraries

Hours of operation for Winnipeg Public Libraries over the Easter weekend are as follows:

Monday, March 28Millennium, Charleswood, Henderson, Louis Riel, Pembina Trail, West End and West Kildonan Libraries open 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. All other libraries closed.

Online services, including downloadable eBooks, catalogue searching, and holds/renewals, are available anytime at City of Winnipeg - Winnipeg Public Libraries.

Animal Services Agency

Operating hours for the Animal Services Agency are:

Cemeteries

Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries will be open for visitation from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. over the Easter weekend, including Friday, March 25 and Monday, March 28.

Cemetery offices will be closed on Friday, March 25 (Good Friday) and Monday, March 28 (Easter Monday).
