Swipe right on your dream dog this Valentine’s weekend

Dog adoption fees are reduced February 14 and 15 at Winnipeg Animal Services

Chelsie is available for adoption and looking for her perfect match

Love is in the air at Winnipeg Animal Services, and we are ready to help you meet your perfect match.

Right now, we have over 30 dogs in our care. That is about double what we typically see in February.

Valentine’s weekend adoption fee promotion

On February 14 and 15, we have a sweet deal for you. We are reducing our dog adoption fee from $323 to $185.

Every adoption includes:

  • Spay/neuter surgery
  • First licence
  • Veterinarian check-up
  • First vaccinations
  • Tattoo
  • Microchip

“When you adopt a dog, you bring love into your life and theirs,” said Jennifer Medlicott, Animal Services’ Community Relations Coordinator. “You’re also helping free up space in the shelter for our other dogs.”

If your idea of romance involves long walks and wet noses, our dogs would love to meet you.

Find your next true love

Follow Animal Services on Facebook or Instagram to swipe through the profiles of the dogs. You can also find all our adoptable dogs and learn more about the process on our website.

Adopting a dog is a long-term commitment. If now is the right time for you and your family, visit us at 1057 Logan Ave. and let us play matchmaker.

“Every dog has their own love language, and our team is happy to help you find your valentine,” said Medlicott.

We do all adoptions in person. The process usually takes between 30 minutes and an hour.

Come meet your valentine and get some tails wagging!
