Everyone belongs here at Winnipeg. It’s a simple, but impactful message made colourful by 13-year-old Guneev.
The phrase is from their winning entry of our Anti-Racism Art Contest. The cover of the Fall 2026, Winter & Spring 2027 Priceless Fun brochure features this meaningful artwork.

Earlier this summer, we put out the call for children and youth to draw their ideas and thoughts on an anti-racist Winnipeg. We appreciate everyone who took the time to turn their feelings into art.
We were so impressed with all the submissions, making selecting the winner a difficult task. That’s why we couldn’t highlight just one entry.
Guneev’s design made the cover, and the artwork of our two runners up can be found on the second page of the brochure.
Jenny, age 11, drew the Winnipeg skyline and a group of people holding hands standing on the world. The submission also features the saying We all belong everywhere!
Pragathi, age 8, drew crayons in different shades and wrote Every colo[u]r makes the picture beautiful.
Creating more inclusive spaces
Our Recreation Services division works in collaboration with Equitas – International Centre for Human Rights Education to bring awareness to children’s rights through an educational approach.
Children and youth who attend our programs learn about their rights and human rights values such as cooperation, respect for diversity, inclusion, and responsibility.
Winnipeg Public Library has put together an anti-racism resource guide full of books, videos, and websites to help people learn about forms of racism and what it means to be anti-racist.
We also have a Children’s Anti-Racism Activity Toolkit and Anti-Racism Cards that help engage children in learning about important topics like racism, discrimination, equality, and reconciliation.

The latest Priceless Fun brochure was released today with the winning designs. It features plenty of family-friendly activities, including free swim and public skating schedules, children’s free play times, and drop-in youth action centres.
The brochure is organized by neighbourhood, making it easy to find programming close to home.
