Winnipeg, MB - Contractors are emptying recycling and garbage carts today for those residents with Friday as their regularly scheduled collection day. Friday collection was delayed one day due to the Christmas holiday.
The Let's Chip In Depots open today and residents can recycle their tree by dropping it off at one of the 11 locations, open until January 20, 2015.
All plastic tree bags, tinsel, decorations, and tree stands must be removed before leaving a tree at a depot.
Residents are welcome to bring a container and help themselves to free wood chips, which will be available at all depots in early January (while quantities last).
