Transcona Boulevard to be temporarily closed from 7:00 a.m. December 29 to 6:00 p.m. December 31

Released: December 26, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Transcona Boulevard will be temporarily closed on Monday, December 29 at 7:00 a.m. until Wednesday, December 31 at 6:00 p.m. to accommodate paving work to a portion of the roadway.

During this closure, temporary concrete will be laid down at the intersection of Plessis Road and Transcona Boulevard. The temporary concrete pavement is required to replace a gravel surface that has loosened because of recent unseasonably mild and wet weather. The temporary concrete pavement will remain in place until the finishing touches can be completed in spring.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time or to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations. The City of Winnipeg thanks the public for their patience during this closure.
