Winnipeg, MB - The Ontario Municipal Benchmarking Initiative (OMBI) recently released data from their 2013 Performance Measurement Report and Winnipeg Transit has once again ranked as a top Canadian Transit agency.
“Winnipeg Transit takes tremendous pride in providing cost effective service to Winnipeggers, and as such is delighted with the results presented in this report,” said Dave Wardrop, Director of Winnipeg Transit. “Regular benchmarking with other municipalities provides us with a means to evaluate and improve our service. We look forward to continuing to build upon this success with further improvements in service delivery.”
OMBI is an independent benchmarking authority, and Winnipeg Transit’s high scoring was reflective of its performance pertaining to operating cost measures, as well as having amongst the lowest operating subsidies.
