Crews continue snow clearing operations, focus on plowing slushy, snowy areas

Released: January 15, 2015 at 10:48 a.m.

Winnipeg, MB - Crews were hard at work last night applying salt and cleaning up slushy areas on Priority 1 (Regional) and Priority 2 (Collector/bus route) networks that accumulated as a result of warmer temperatures and light snowfall.

As temperatures drop throughout today, salting applications will be reduced. Crews will continue to plow and touch up areas of slush and compacted snow throughout today and into the evening.

The focus continues to be on restoring bare pavement on our Regional and Collector streets.

Stay back, stay safe
Motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.
