Released: March 19, 2014 at 3:05 p.m.
Citizens encouraged to Know Your Zone and find alternate parking

Winnipeg, MB - Plowing and drainage improvement operations on residential streets began this morning at 7:00 a.m. and will continue until Friday at 7 p.m. The focus of this residential plow is to clear snow and ice from around catch basins in the driving lane, to provide improved drainage in preparation for the spring melt. The operation will also improve drivability on our streets.

A residential parking ban is NOT in effect, but motorists are encouraged to find alternate parking so that both the driving and parking lanes can be cleared.

Snow zones are being used to communicate when neighbourhoods are scheduled for clearing. Citizens are urged to confirm their snow zone letter through Know Your Zone or by contacting 311.
