Tomorrow is By-Election Day

Winnipeg, MB – Residents are reminded Saturday, October 25, 2025 is By-Election Day.

Eligible voters in each of the wards will have the opportunity to cast a ballot for a candidate for City Councillor – Elmwood-East Kildonan Ward, School Trustee for Louis Riel School Division Ward 3, or School Trustee for Pembina Trails School Division Ward 1.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Eligible voters can determine their specific voting location by:

  • Checking their voter’s notice (information is in the large yellow box on the left-hand side of the card)
  • Visiting winnipeg.ca/wheredoivote and typing in their current home address
  • Contacting 311

Identification Requirements

All voters are reminded to bring valid identification. In the absence of a driver's license or Manitoba identification card, any two documents that together show the person's name and current address will also be accepted. Both documents must display the voter’s name.
