Winnipeg, MB – At 9:32 a.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of fire at a vacant two-storey multi-family residential dwelling in the 600 block of Maryland Street.
Smoke was coming from the structure when crews arrived on scene. They launched an offensive fire attack and used hose lines to apply water to the fire. It was declared under control at 10 a.m.
Firefighters searched the building and no occupants were found. No injuries were reported.
The structure had previous damage from a fire on September 30, 2024. Damage estimates are not available.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
