Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responds to fire on Bannatyne Avenue

Winnipeg, MB – At 6:08 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a fire in a vacant two-and-a-half storey house in the 500 block of Bannatyne Avenue.

Upon arrival on scene crews found smoke coming from the house. They fought the fire from inside the house, declaring it under control at 6:27 p.m.

Crews searched the structure and no occupants were found. There were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates are not available. The house had previously been damaged by fire in June 2021.
